PTA News

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Pensford School. For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Emma Rehbein Chairperson of the Pensford PTA and also mum to Poppy in Duckling (Reception). We have an amazing team of parents involved in the PTA and the core committee is Nicola Cogan (Secretary) and Sarah Curtis (Treasurer).

The Purpose of the PTA is to raise money for equipment, resources and enhancing activities for all the children that the school does not have within their budget.  We are exceptionally proud to take an important role in developing and enriching the school environment by providing the “little extras”. We work closely with the school to really understand how we can add value and make a difference.

We raise a significant amount of money for our school, for example in the last 12 months we were able to provide

  • £4380 for New Laptops
  • £1550 for Playground resurfacing
  • £500 for Christmas Theatre trip to Bath
  • £40.00 for Christmas books
  • We are currently designing and arranging a new outdoor classroom

We are a very active group and organise a wide range of fund-raising initiatives, such as the Pensford 10K, 3 Peaks to smaller fun filled events for the children such as Easter egg hunt, Halloween & Christmas Fair’s including games and activities, and the end of school term disco.

In order for us to be successful we really need the support of all parents /Carers. This could be as a committee member, volunteer, offer raffle prizes/donations for Tombola, arrange local fundraising initiatives or make donations to the account.  We are fortunate to have the support from some local businesses and we are always keen to welcome new businesses to collaborate with us so please speak to family and friends. Whatever level of participation you select, your time, donations and involvement is certainly appreciated.

We will send regular updates via the school newsletter / text for all up and coming events. If you are on Facebook, please join our page ‘Friends of Pensford School ‘

Please do get in touch if you have any queries or ideas. We look forward to hearing from you!!

Thank you in advance for your support
