Message from Miss Bishop

It’s been another busy but enjoyable week at Pensford. The team have put plans into place for January 2016 and I have been into all of the classes to see the children’s learning, as well as looking at pupils’ books and teachers’ planning. I have been working with Miss Flatley to put together the new School Improvement Plan, which I will be able to share with you in the new term. We have seen several wonderful performances of ‘The Bossy King’ and I was really impressed by the children’s confidence and singing. We have also been working hard to put together the Church Service, which is on Tuesday 15th. Next week will be packed with Christmas fun, so I hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

Dragonfly Nativity

Mr Haines kindly filmed the evening performance of Year R, 1 and 2’s Bossy King. If you would like a copy of the video, please speak to Kate Croker, who will order one for you. We believe the cost of the DVD is £5.00, and the majority of that is usually donated to school funds.

Kingfisher Staffing Arrangements

Next week, Miss Flatley is returning to class, for her last week at the school. Mrs Bills will be teaching in Kingfisher for term 3, while we find a suitable replacement.

Saying Goodbye To Miss Park and Miss Flatley

We will be holding a special assembly on Tuesday 15th December, at 2.00pm in the school hall, to celebrate the time that Miss Park has spent with us as our longest serving permanent staff member. (She started her teaching career here in September 1999!) We would like to invite you to come and join us, for some entertainment from the children and some refreshments, while we say au revoir.

We would also like to invite you to come to our final celebration assembly of 2015, which will be at 2.30pm on Friday 18th December, so that you can say goodbye to Miss Flatley, who is relocating to Cheshire after being at the school for the past 12 years.

Whitemead Camp 2016—Kingfisher Class

If you are still to pay your second instalment of £50.00 for Whitemead Camp, please do so by the end of this Term.
