Volunteers Tea Party: The children hosted a fantastic tea party for all our regular volunteers on Tuesday. Lots of cake and tea was had by all! We would like to thank our volunteers for all the hours of their time they give up weekly to help and support our children in a variety of different ways.

New Reception Children: It was lovely to see our new reception children visit our school over the past week. They had a look around their new classroom, met their teachers and enjoyed a playtime. They all settled in really well and we look forward to welcoming them again in September.

Swimming Lessons in next Academic Year. From September 2016, we are changing our swimming arrangements so that Years 5 & 6 children swim in Terms 1 and 3, and Years 3 & 4 children swim in Terms 2 & 6. The reason behind this change is twofold. One reason is that it gives our pupils a better chance to be able to swim 25 metres by the end of KS2. The second reason is so we are able to include Year 3 & 4 children in events in the annual swimming gala, similar to that of other local primary schools. We are very fortunate that swimming lessons and transportation is paid for by the Government's Sports Grant and spreading the swimming lessons across four year groups ensures that more children benefit from this funding.

Sponsored Readathon: If your child took part in the Readathon to raise money for the school library, can you please return completed sponsorship forms and money to the school by 20th July. The proceeds will be used to purchase new books for the library, Thank you for all the money received so far.
