Dear Parents and Carers

For the week ending 16th October, we are proud to say that our...

  • Stars of the week in Dragonfly class were: Bella and Jake
  • Stars of the week in Otter class were: Lucy & Owain
  • Stars of the week in Kingfisher class were: Eleanor and Sinead
  • Head teacher’s award/Team point winners were: Issy, Maggie and Oscar
  • Swimmers of the week were: Abigael, Ronnie and Connie

All the children are stars this week and any team points accrued will be carried over to next term.

From the office:

Thank you

To everyone who has so generously donated food and supplies for the Harvest Festival and thank you to staff and volunteers who ferried the boxes to the hall and Miss Flatley who took it all to the Food Bank.

Another BIG thank you to Jess Cox and the PSA committee and all the people who have helped during the last two years (you know who you are!) The funds raised by the team have been used in the following ways: £500 to be spent on specialised educational equipment for Dragonfly and Otter Class and part of a new pc for Kingfisher. The children of Kingfisher bought the rest of the pc out of their ’Enterprise’ project. There is a sum of £3,000 (the Fun Day profits are part of this) raised by the PSA over time and this is currently being spent lots of equipment for children to support learning. We will let you know exactly what this has been spent on as soon as it’s ordered.

School Photos

The photo day went well and the children all looked lovely. We will let you know as soon as the photo company contact us about how to order and pay.

We’re collecting!

We now have a collecting box for the Flora tub labels and ask you to get friends and family on the case collecting as many as we can to exchange them for ‘tablets’ for the children.

Parents’ Council

The first meeting of the year is to be held on Wednesday 21st October at 3.15pm and please contact Tracey King, Tracy Jones, Charlotte Tremlett if you want to pass on any compliments or complaints.

School Council

The first meeting was held on Monday 5th October and all members attended along with two governors: Mrs Critten and Mrs Croker. Each year the children choose charities to support and this year three have been picked and are Help for Heroes, The Julian Trust and Sports Relief (2016).

End of Term House winners are Cabot—all Cabot children can wear blue on Thursday 22nd October
