Newsletter 24th March - Issue 26

Dear Parents and Carers,

Tennis club

For your information, there will be no Tennis Club from Term 5 onwards. Yoga Club will be available with Fergus Crawte’s mum from the end of the school day until 4.45 pm starting Thursday 14th April.

New Menu

As from Term 5 we will be following a new Banes menu. A copy is being sent home today and copies are available in the school office. Please note that some of the food choices on the menu contain coconut, therefore please advise us if your child/ren has any allergies.

School Uniform

Pensford Primary School encourages children to take pride in their appearance and dress smartly. Therefore it is school policy to wear school uniform, please ensure your child is dressed appropriately. Details on how to order uniform, or what our uniform consists of is on our website.

Kisses for Kalum

It was lovely to se so many children supporting this campaign and dressed in yellow. We have raised a huge £68.00. So a big well done and thank you!

Start of the school day

School begins at 08.55am. There is no supervision by school until 08.45am in the playground. Parents are welcome to come into the playground with their children and stay with them until this time. The same procedure applies if it is raining, however you may come into the school hall. If children come into school on their own, we will take them into breakfast club and be charged accordingly.

School Meal Increase

Reminder that school meals prices will be increasing to £2.40 per child per day from Term 5. This is due to BaNES increasing the cost of school meals.

Stars of the Week

Children due certificates this week will be presented with them in our celebration assembly on Friday 15th April.

We have said ‘goodbye and goodluck’ to Mrs Britton who has left to go on maternity leave. We will all eagerly await the news on the new arrival in due course! We also said ‘Goodbye and thank you’ to Mr Gray who has covered in our Kingfisher class the past 3 weeks. We are looking forward to welcoming Mr Miller and Mrs Rawlinson next Term. There will be plenty of opportunity to meet the new teachers at the start of term.

We hope you all have a fantastic Easter break, and look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 11th April for Term 5.
