Message from Miss Bishop

Hello! Thank you for my very warm welcome to Pensford Primary. I am very excited to be part of the team and have really enjoyed meeting all your wonderful children this week. It was lovely to see so many parents and family members yesterday at the coffee afternoon and to put faces to the names.

Pensford is a bright and friendly school with lots of potential, I look forward to working with you all in driving the school forward and ensuring all pupils reach their full potential.

Kingfisher Staffing Arrangements from January 2016

I am pleased to announce that Lynda Bills will be continuing to teach Kingfisher class for term 3; this will provide the high quality and consistent teaching and learning the Year 5 and 6 children need and deserve. Miss Flatley is already working hard with Mrs Bills to ensure an effective transition and handover with careful planning and assessments in place. I look forward to working with Mrs Bills in term 3 and continuing the great work that she has achieved this term.

Saying Goodbye To Miss Park and Miss Flatley

We will be holding a special assembly on Tuesday 15th December, at 2.00pm in the school hall, to celebrate the time that Miss Park has spent with us as our longest serving permanent staff member. (She started her teaching career here in September 1999!) We would like to invite you to come and join us, for some entertainment from the children and some refreshments, while we say au revoir.

We would also like to invite you to come to our final celebration assembly of 2015, which will be at 2.30pm on Friday 18th December, so that you can say goodbye to Miss Flatley, who is relocating to Cheshire after being at the school for the past 12 years.

Whitemead Camp 2016—Kingfisher Class

Advance warning that the next Camp payment of £50 will be due by the end of this Term.

Pupil news

We are proud to announce the success of Sinead and Connie, who were in the winning team of Irish Dancer at the qualifying round of the World Championships, last weekend. It’s wonderful to have some world champions at our school! Orla was also a brilliant 8th out of 19 contestants in the Solo Irish Dance World Championship qualifying round.
